Where Should You Move for a Decent Job Market and Affordable Housing?

From the Wall Street Journal’s staffer Jeffrey Sparshott, view channels Zillow data and tools to spotlight metros that have an increasingly rare balance between places that provide good job and income opportunity and a robust supply of relatively affordable homes to purchase. Sparshott writes that, other than the obvious–Texas–Atlanta is another brightspot:

The city was hard hit during the housing bust and still has low housing costs, while the metro area’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.4% in December from 6.8% a year earlier.

Other places may come as more of a surprise: Fort Wayne, Ind., Columbus, Ind., Grand Rapids, Mich., and Anderson, S.C., all register high on Zillow’s index.
